Emsworth Cricket Club

Welcome to Emsworth Cricket Club

The purpose of the Club is to promote the amateur sport of cricket in Emsworth and community participation in the same. Emsworth is situated on the Hampshire coastline, equidistant between Portsmouth and Chichester. Cricket has been played in the town since 1811 and is an important part of the local community. The club is now a “Community Amateur Sports Club” and is being granted money from Havant Borough Council to sustain and expand upon our purpose.

Purpose of the website.
On this website you will find contact details for club officials, the dates and results of this seasons fixtures, as well as in-depth statistics on teams and individuals. Members are able to post their views, stories and photographs on the site to ensure that as many people as possible use and interact with the site.  Whether it is the latest ECB directives or a quirky story from another club we’ll show why it’s fun to be involved with Cricket.

Want to get involved with Emsworth Cricket Club?
If you’re a player, scorer, umpire or simply new to the game and want to get involved we would love to hear from you. On Saturdays our 1st XI play in the Hampshire Cricket League County Division 4 South while our 2nd XI play in Regional Division 3 South East. We will also be adding a 3rd team to our Saturday sides in 2009. It’s league cricket so has that competitive edge but it is still a very friendly atmosphere. On Sundays we have friendly fixtures against other village sides and midweek we participate in local friendlies. During the winter we participate in the South East Hants Indoor League.
